Just dreaming over here. Just for minute close your eyes, and imagine the smell of the ocean and the feeling of sand blowing across your skin. Wasn't that nice?
I have a panama hat that would be killer with the suit. All I have to do is find a body of water to wear it to... and some warmer weather. Soon enough.

Staycation

Life has a way of coming full circle, and our staycation in DC really felt like that. We talked about how we would have felt on our honeymoon three years ago if we had known that we would call DC home. I think I would have been too excited to think about anything else.  Previous posts featuring White House poses here and here . In case you were wondering: my dress is Suzi Chin, the view is at the 

W Washington Hotel  and we enjoyed a delicious brunch at The Hamilton. 

Family Time in NOLA

Here are some pics. from my quick trip to NOLA with my parents to see my family.

We pretty much ate and hung out with family. NOLA is definitely a home away from home, and whenever I'm there I always find myself thinking "so... maybe this could be permanent?". Perhaps someday. 

The past thirteen days I have been in various cities vacationing with my parents and our extended family. With my laptop back safely in San Antonio, blogging wasn't really an option. Of course all good things must come to an end, but I'm ready to be back in The Alamo City with my love. I have lots of fun pictures and stories to share, but for now enjoy Think Positive! Favorite Things: Vacation's all I ever Wanted Edition

Lately I've had traveling on the brain. I have been blessed to have traveled all over the world. I have seen and lived cultures ranging from the slums of Honduras to the spotless streets of Salzburg, and numerous in-between. I have several favorites for several reasons, here they are: (in no particular order)


Bluffton, South Carolina

We honeymooned at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff. It was charming and has become my mental  
happy place.

Manhattan, New York
The greatest city in the world. There's just no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Chicago, Illinois 

Chicago is like New York on a Xanax. A little calmer, nicer, and less stressed. 

Prague, Czech Republic 

Prague is by far my favorite European city. It is beautiful and unpretentious. (This photo of me and my s-i-l is circa 2007, enjoy.)

Paris, France
C'est magnifique. Je préfère la ville dans la nuit!

So obviously there are some pretty major cities in my travels that are absent from this list. Jelgava, Riga, New Orleans, and Washington D.C. you are, soon will be, or feel more like home.
