It's the best day of the week y'all! Normally I commute on the Metro, but today Joe is working from home- so that means I get to drive! Today is even better.  I get to leave a whole 30 minutes later. Whoop! Some people would have slept an extra 30 minutes... not me. I would rather get an extra 30 minutes for my morning routine. I know... I'm odd. 

I hope that today is a successful end to the work week and a relaxing beginning of the weekend.

Happy, Happy Friday! 

I only have to go in for a half day to give our room a deep clean because there was an outbreak of the norovirus and they have closed the school. I'm glad my health is so valued. Thankfully it seems I have escaped the infamous bug, and I really am thanking my lucky stars. J's mom and sister are flying in today, and we have a really fun DC weekend planned. I would hate to have to be quarantined because of being sick. Anywho, If this were a fashion blog, and I had a job where casual friday was a thing this is what I would wear:

Do you have exciting plans for the weekend? 

 We're having friends over, so Joe and I have a date at whole foods tonight. Hot, I know. For some people in the area this is a huge weekend because the Baltimore Ravens are playing in the super bowl, for us not so much. I'm sure we will watch, but as far as Super Bowls go I'm not too excited about this one. At the American History museum they have a new exhibit with things from the 2012 summer olympics, so I'm hoping to make a trip this weekend.

Who doesn't love Friday, really. It's the best night of the week, the weekend is just beginning and you have two whole days before you with no work or alarm clock (ideally anyway). I have been looking forward to this Friday for quite some time now, it is the beginning of our staycation in Washington D.C. Tonight we have Joe's company's gala/winter social, and he surprised me with a hotel stay at one of the most prestigious (and oldest) hotels in the area the W Hotel Washington. What a guy! It has a beautiful lounge with an unbeatable view of the National Mall and I can't wait to sip a Manhattan while gazing at my city. *Bliss* Did I mention It's also supposed to snow tonight? I have to say I'm loving this week of winter we are having. Does it feel like 5 degrees outside? Yes, but the snow on the ground makes it so worth it. Happy Friday, everyone!
