Happy September!

Like I said in my previous post we have been without internet, and I missed the first of September. September is a month of transition here in Texas. (Well usually, this year seems to not be normal in any way).  September is most definitely not fall yet, but for me it doesn't seem that it is summer either. The new school year has just begun, swimming occurs much less, suddenly our eyes are filled with the possibility of pumpkins and turning leaves, and our noses will shortly be filled with spices. Of course we're not quite there yet. September means: apple pies, football games and fight songs, a few mornings when you can actually stand to be outside, and the beginning of the end of another year. For us, it really means football, football, football! I went to countless football games as a child. I love football season, and I think part of the reason is deep down it represents the gateway to fall. I usually dismiss September for the much more attractive October, but not this year. I'm going to enjoy this month of transition.
