A Texas Sized Weekend

We had the best weekend. Joe got some much needed R&R, we watched Aggie football, but we also explored our little corner of the world. We had a wonderful brunch at the neatest specialty food market, that moonlights as a restaurant on Sundays. After perusing all of the fun bites, we headed into the city to Chinatown. It was too bad we were too full to enjoy some of the wonderful cuisine that neighborhood has to offer, but I guess it means we'll have to go back. While we were walking down 7th to the National Mall we ran into Hill Country BBQ, the supposed best Texas BBQ this side of the Red River. We weren't too full for that, and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. They had five varieties of Shiner, including the seasonal brew. Which means not only did they have Shiner Cheer, but that they will have Ruby Red Bird during the summer. I'm set y'all. We ended our glorious weekend with a stroll around the mall, and a beautiful D.C. sunset.
