So, this Night Shift Thing

We are well underway on our first week of Joe's new schedule. He works from 9-5, just the other 9-5 pm-am. You get it. It is not all bad, not at all. On the days I don't work after school care it's pretty awesome actually. We get so much time in the afternoon together. We have been able to work out together everyday, cook together, eat dinner at the table at a respectable time, and even watch several episodes of our latest addiction Mad Men. When he comes in around 5:30 my alarm is about to go off at 5:45. Of course the bummer is missing him at night. I think some nights will be worse than others, but you must take the good with the bad. I'm happy that we have finally started what will be our "routine" for the foreseeable future. Joe has a job- God is good! It seems that Joe also managed to find me a summer job: I'm going to be a nanny for his boss. Please pray. They are even okay with all my traveling. He approached me about it yesterday and asked me to give him the dates I would be out of town. All day I prayed that If it was not the Lord's will (or that something would happen to jeopardize Joe's job) that they would not okay the weeks I would be gone. Obviously they did, so I'm choosing to be optimistic.  I needed a job, and God provided. I'm actually super excited! I hope something for the fall happens that easily.
