Staying Put vs. Being Released

Yesterday the sermon could not have been more for us if it had said Joe and Elizabeth Weinberger at the top of the notes page. Jeff discussed Staying put (in a job, move, friendship etc) and being released from said circumstance. This week we got our first bit of officially, official news about Joe's position in D.C. and it seems that we are being released from our home here in San Antonio. I don't want to say too much, because I'm afraid I'll jinx it; however, things are happening. The verses our pastor referenced were when Paul was in Ephesus. He felt his heart pulling him toward Macedonia, but the Lord time and time again prevented Paul from moving. Finally the Lord released him from Ephesus to continue his work in Macedonia.

Our move was in the works last October, and the Lord has prevented us (several times) from leaving SA. It's been very difficult at times, but so much more rewarding than I could have ever foreseen or thought. Throughout my Christian journey I have always struggled to trust in the Lord's timing, but after various things always recognize His purpose. I can honestly say I am so thankful the Lord prevented our move until it was His perfect timing to release us.
