Saturday Joe and I explored DC's Union Market. We've been talking about going since we moved here, and I'm so glad we finally did. It was pretty much awesome. They have beautiful produce stands, a creamery, a soda shop (with a heart for booze + knish), top notch oysters, and about ten other stands. You could eat every meal there and still want more. I'm already planning what I'm going to buy on our next visit... new Saturday ritual? After Joe peeled me away, we made a quick stop at Main Avenue Fish Market to grab some crabs and clams to bake/boil for dinner. It was just a good day in the District, and at the end of it I was thanking my lucky stars I'm a Washingtonian.
